Beijing is a firm favorite(幸运儿)to win the bid(竞标)for the 2008 Olympics, according to the International Olympic Committee(IOC).
The Chinese capital's bid came first with four 36 cities on Monday, when the IOC 37 in half the 38 cities fighting for hosting the world's most important sporting 39 .
