Abstract£ºObjectiveTo develop a method for the quantitative analysis of ursolic acid and oleanolic acid in Ilex kudincha C. J. Tseng and at the same time the purity of ursolic acid peak was
detected by means of Photodiode Array Detector(PAD).MethodsHPLC was carried out on the Nucleosil C18 column (4.6 mm¡Á250 mm, 5 ¦Ìm) at 26¡æ with MeOHH2O(87¡Ã13) as mobile phase. The flow rate was 0.8 ml and the detection wavelength 210 nm. ResultsThere was good linear relationship between the peak area and the sample content injected in the ranges of 1.636¡«17.724 ¦Ìg£¨r=0.999 8£©for ursolic acid. The average recovery rate of ursolic acid was 99.3% (RSD1.7 %). ConclusionThe method is simple, accurate, and suitable for the determination of ursolic acid in Ilex Kudincha C. J. Tseng.
