Are too many kids obsessed(着迷的) with texting? Texting Nonstop! Yes, I do think kids are too obsessed with texting. Many kids I know can be to the same room or even sitting next to each other, but they text each other rather than actually talk! With some of my friends, it’s hard to get their attention when they are texting. People seem to like to text more than talk. –Riley Responsible Texting No, I don’t think too many kids are obsessed with texting. Sometimes kids might just need some time alone on the phone. They probably just need to talk to their friends! I believe most kids are responsible and know when to stop texting. –Ella Guilty(羞愧的) of texting too much Kids are really obsessed with texting. When I text my friends, almost all of them answer back in less than a minute. Some of my friends even get their phones taken away for being on them too much. I see my friends most of my day at soccer or at school, and even I am guilty of texting them several hours a day when I am home. Sometimes it’s better to spend time outdoors and with your family rather than with your phone. –Tom Get physical-Get off the phone! A lot of my friends, as soon as they got a smart phone, were texting or online constantly. Spending that much time on a screen is not healthy for you or your brain. Personally, I’d rather spend time outside doing sports with my friends than on the phone. You can tell your friends at school or whenever you see next-you don’t have to spend all your time texting. -Shanna 根据材料内容选择最佳答案,并将其标号填入题前括号内。

High-tech machines have made life easier for millions around the world. However, some people still prefer low-tech ways of doing things. Here’s an example of why this is happening. You can microwave a frozen hamburger in 60 seconds. However, it won’t taste as good as one you cook on the stove(炉). And if you’re in that much of a hurry, you probably won’t take time to toast(烘烤) the bread. High-tech cooking saves time, but it doesn’t make better-tasting meals.

Most people get their news from high-tech sources(来源) like television or the Internet. This has many advantages. For example, electronic news is more up to date than newspapers or magazines. It’s also more exciting to see live and videotaped news than photographs.

However, newspapers and magazines have some important advantages. They give more background and detail(细节). They also let you read the parts that are important to you and skip the rest. Other high-tech timesavers have similar disadvantages. For example, most people use the phone or email to stay in touch with friends and family members who live in other places. But when you use the Internet or the phone, you don’t always think carefully about what you are saying, and sometimes you forget the important things you want to communicate. Similarly, when you do your homework on the computer, you needn’t check your spelling by yourself. However, you are so busy with the computer that you don’t pay enough attention to the actual words they are writing. 根据材料内容选择最佳答案,并将其标号填入题前括号内。

C(德州2017)

Mr Guo is a teacher from Xi’an. He asked his students to hand in their homework through a QR code (二维码). “We spent an hour or two in class learning how to generate (使产生) the codes, and in the end everything gets easier,” said Guo. “When students finish the homework, they keep it on WeChat. Then, each student makes his own QR code and gives it to me. So I can check their work everywhere using my computer or telephone.”

The QR codes can be sent to Mr Guo by email, QQ and WeChat. When Guo scans (扫描) his students’ QR codes, their homework appears on his phone. He finds that their homework becomes more creative (创新的), with many pictures, music and even videos. Guo’s students like the new way and think it is interesting. “We are living in the

information age. Many students like to work with computers, which makes learning more fun.” said Tingting, a student of Guo’s.

“The paper is not easy to keep, but the code is easy to keep and share.” Guo said. “ It is worth trying to use new technology in education. Education itself is a kind of creation. I don’t want my students to fall behind the times.”

However, some parents are worried. They are afraid that their children will spend too much time on computers and less time communicating with teachers. But in fact, it’s unnecessary. Students still need to look up information in books and write it down when they do their homework. They only use the code when they hand in their work, which doesn’t take them too much time.
