一、The Analysis of Teaching Materials
Reading text 是本单元综合性精读材料，要求学生在4分钟内完成快速阅读，能够理解文章的基本内容；然后深入阅读理解，掌握教学目标中的key words 和 useful expressions. 二、The Analysis of Students
本班共有38名学生，其中大部分学生基础薄弱。同学们的听说能力相对较差，领悟能力相对较低，缺乏学习兴趣。针对同学们的这种情况，本节课的内容重点在于培养学生们的学习兴趣。教学过程中播放同学们喜爱的英文歌曲，调动学生们的积极性，同学提高学生们的听力能力。
三、The Analysis of Teaching Aims
1, knowledge aims：to teach students some new words, such as: case, revolution, accelerate,concert and so on.
To teach students some new expressions, such as: belong to , become capable of , demand for and so on.
2, Ability aims: to improve students the ability of reading and listening.

七、The Analysis of Teaching Procedures
Step1 Do some simple greetings with my students T： Good morning， boys and girls S： Good morning， Miss Lu T： How are you today？ S： Fine. Thank you!
Step2 Read these new words three times
Look at a picture and introduce four people of the Beatles. Step3 Introduce several kinds of music and then listen to a song. After that, ask students what kind of the song is.
Ask students “ Can you sing a pop song?” And ask one of them to sing a song.
Step4 Read the text “ Popular Music”. Analyze the text for students . After that， answer two questions.
1 Why did popular music develop very quickly in recent years? 2 What types of music are included in popular music?
Step5 Listen to the song on the tape and fill in the blanks according to what you hear. 八、 Homework
