Bryan just kept his eyes on the television screen. He held his controller and pushed the buttons (按钮) hard.
Soon, Bryan’s hands began to hurt. He tried to stretch out (伸出) his hand, but it felt like his fingers just wanted to go back around the controller. He wanted to drink some water, but it would be too much trouble to get up and stop the game.
Bryan sat against the back of the sofa. It was so comfortable that he felt like he was going deeper into the sofa as he played. Then Bryan thought about what Mom had said. “Well, at least video games haven’t killed your imagination,” Mom said and laughed, but Bryan still felt very serious.
“I think I’ll take a break from video games and find something else to do,” Bryan said. He changed into his sports clothes and went out.
