每个人都有梦想。梦想是奋斗的动力,奋斗是实现梦想的条件。为了实现梦想,我们要努力尝试着去做,永远都要不懈地去追求。
When we were young, we had dreams and expectations. We imagined things and we kept thinking about what we wanted to be, what we wanted to do, what made us proud and happy and what we would become.
We grew up, and things seemed like having its own way. We accepted our success or failure and we moved on. The rapid change, the need to do the urgent things, the work, the pressures and the failure all killed part of our visions.
Things have changed, but they cannot really take away the dreams. We still have to dream, to visualize(想象) our desires, our visions of the future, even when we are considered to be too old for such things.
Cornel Sanders started his business when he was sixty, and started the whole successful KFC business. The main thing is not the age —whether it is too old, or too young, but it is the desire to dream on, and the courage to realize it.
Vivid(清晰的) visualization, taking it to sleep, thinking constantly about it, talking about it, planning for it and adding all the spices to our dreams will all bring us a bit closer to the realization of our dreams.
The ability to dream is one of the fine qualities of human race that other species do not possess. So dream on, and put a deadline: make it a giant dream, a tiny one, an old everlasting one, a newfound one, a hobby related one, or just whatever ... just continue to dream ... Then, just go and do it!

\这山望着那山高\有时候是一种错觉,我们应面对现实,脚踏实地,珍惜每一次机遇。
There was a small boy living on a farm which seemed so far away from everywhere. He needed to get up before sunrise every morning to start his chores.
During sunrise he would take a break and climb up the fence so that he could see the house with golden windows in the distance. He thought how
great it would be to live there and his mind would wander, imagining the modern equipment and appliances(器具)that might exist in the house. \could afford golden windows, then there must be other nice things. “He then promised himself, \ Then one morning his father told him to stay at home and his father would do the chores. Knowing that this was his chance, he packed a sandwich and headed across the field towards the house with the golden windows.
As time went on, he began to realize how he misjudged the distance and something else was very wrong. As he approached the house, he didn’t see any golden windows but instead, he saw an old house with a broken-down fence. He went to the tattered(破烂的)screen door and knocked. A small boy very close to his age opened the door.
He asked the boy if he had seen the house with the golden windows. The boy said, \know.” And the boy invited him to sit on the porch(走廊). As he sat there, he looked back from where he had just come. The sunset turned the windows of his own house golden.

在现实生活中,每个人都不是一座孤岛—我们每个人总是处于一定的社会关系中。如果每个人都在付出,每个人都尽其所长,而每个人又都能受益,都能得其所需,得其所乐,那么生活该多么美好。
James Bender, in his book How to Talk Well relates the story of a farmer who grew award-winning corn. Each year he entered his corn in the state fair where it won a blueribbon(最高的荣誉). One year a newspaper reporter interviewed him and learned something interesting about how he grew it. The reporter discovered that the farmer shared his seed corn with his neighbors. \can you afford to share your best seed corn with your neighbors when they also enter the competition each year?\ \didn’t you know, sir?\said the farmer. \wind picks up pollen(花粉)from the ripening(成熟的)corn and carries it from field to field. If my neighbors grow bad corn, cross-pollination(异花授粉)will steadily lower the quality of my corn. If I am to grow good corn, I must help my neighbors grow good corn.\
He is very much aware of the connection of life. His corn can’t improve unless his neighbor’s corn also improves.
So it is in other aspects. Those who choose to be at peace must help their neighbors to be at peace. Those who choose to live well must help others live
well, for the value of life is measured by the lives it touches. And those who choose to be happy must help others find happiness, for the welfare of each is bound up with the welfare of all.
The lesson for each of us is this: if we are to grow good corn, we must help our neighbors grow good corn.

\longer you wait to drink it, the better it will be. Although this may seem strange, it is true.\
When I was young, I didn’t have any understanding of what this meant, but now, this would have been very helpful to remember as I went through my teenage years.
In our society, we forget this simple rule: The longer you wait for certain things, the better they will be. But we want the best job as quickly as possible; we want to graduate from college in as few years as possible; we even speed through our homework just to chat with friends. When we do this, we lose something of great importance.
We all want to get to the next step so quickly that perhaps we don’t get ready enough to get there. This has a negative effect (负面影响) on our society. When trying to go to the right college, we will do anything to get in and when we rush through our homework, we may not study enough for the test, and end up failing. We need to be ready for whatever comes, ready for the unexpected. Just as wine gets better over time, so do the things in our paths.
