第12单元 The Earth 一、单词与词组复习：
1.Earth 首字母大写时意思是“地球”，小写时是“大地，泥土”。 2.in the past 在过去；
3.throw.....into.....把.....扔进.....：
We should stop throwing rubbish into rivers. 4.should 应该（属于情态动词），后面接动词的原形。
5.Stop是停止的意思。Stop+动词的ing形式，表示停止正在做的事情。Stop+to+动词原形，表示停止一件事去做另一件事。 6.I think they are oceans .我认为他们是海洋。 7.Use（Using） plastic bags（正在）使用塑料袋；
8.Cut（Cutting） down so many trees （正在）砍到许多树； 9.Look at 看，观看；
10.live on 继续活着；住在?上； 二、句型复习
1.We should stop cutting down so many trees.我们应该停止砍那么多树（要知道我们应该停止做某事的句型We should stop .......） 2.The Earth was very clean and beautiful in the past.在过去，地球是干净和美丽的。（注意是过去时）
3.Can we do anything to help the Earth?我们能够做一些事情来帮助地球吗？( Earth的前面一定要有定冠词 the ，因为 Earth是独一无二的事物。月亮也是同样的用法。)
4.We live on the earth.我们居住在地球上。
5.The Earth is a beautiful place .地球是个漂亮的地方。
6.There are many different plants and animals too.也有许多不同的植物和动物。
7.Smoke from cars and factories makes the air dirty .从汽车和工厂来的烟把空气弄脏了。（make +名词+形容词，把......变得......）
8.The Earth gets sick 地球变得虚弱了。（get 在这里的意思是“变得”） 9.Keep the Earth clean and healthy.保持地球干净和健康 10.They pick up rubbish.(他们捡起了垃圾)
11.They recycle glass and paper.（他们回收玻璃和纸）
