Lord of the Flies
Lord of the Flies is a 1954 novel by Nobel Prize-winning British author William Golding. The book focuses on a group of British boys (31)__________ on an uninhabited island and their disastrous attempt to govern themselves.

The book takes place in the middle of an unspecified nuclear war. A plane carrying a group of British schoolboys is shot down over the Pacific. The pilot of the plane is killed, but many of the boys survive the crash and find themselves deserted on an island, where they are alone without adult (34)__________.
