        Abstract:Embedded Linux and wireless network are adopted to video surveillance system,the 

construct of the system hardware is explained,the realization of USB wireless network adapter driver 

is presented.The implementation of software is indicated on the several aspects of Embedded Linux 

development environment configuration,an embedded streaming media server design and dynamic 

Web page design in details.In addition,the double buffering feature involved in the dynamic Web page 

design is introduced.Experimental result shows that the system can achieve high reliability,small 

size,low cost and convenience,and it can be applied to mobile video surveillance and other practical 

applications.
