Pharmaceutical Literature Retrieval
is one of the specialized selective courses of
Pharmacy major. It is for the undergraduate students of School of Pharmacy during the

rd
semester. The course introduces theories and methods of pharmaceutical literature
retrieval. It expatiates on the online retrieval and utilizing of the pharmaceutical
information and literatures coming from world -famous databanks, digital library and
network based on expounding the characteristic, principle of pharmaceutical literature
tools. Through the process of the study, the students are able to master the commonly
used methods and skills for the pharmaceutical literature retrieval. The course adopts
multimedia Internet technology and diverse teaching methods such as analysis,
pharmaceutical literature retrieval operation, discussion, presentation and writing, to
make the course insightful, interesting and useful. The course could further improve
the students' knowledge structure and enhance their self-learning abilities and
innovation research capacities.
