Abstract:
Along
with
the
improvement
of
people's
living
quality,
tourism
leisure
has
become an essential part of people's life, and the ancient town tourism as a popular
destination for tourism and leisure has received much attention. Xitang, as one of the
earliest development of ancient town tourism, makes the "a living ancient town with a
history of more than one thousand years" as the slogan, the use of the development of
the tourism industry to promote the development of the third industry, and ultimately
to enhance the local economic development. However, in the process of development,
there
is
a
contradiction
between
historical
and
cultural
protection
and
tourism
development.
This
paper
analyzes
the
development
and
protection
of
historic
and
cultural
towns
in
Xitang.
It
analyzes
the
advantages
and
disadvantages
of
the
development
of
ancient
town
culture
industry
and
tourism
industry
from

angles,
