Abstract:
As a new kind of inorganic materials, nano

TiO
2
had very valuable optical
properties,
chemical
stability,
thermal
stability,
nontoxicity,
superhydrophilic
and
so
on.
Different
methods
for
preparing
nano
-
TiO
2
were
introduced,
which
mainly
included
gas
phase
method,
liquid
phase
method
and
solid
phase
method
etc.
The
advantages and disadvantages of the different preparation methods were analyzed. In
addition, the application of nano
-
TiO
2
materials as bactericidal materials, sewage and
wastewater treatment, hydrogen production by photocatalytic decomposition of water,
photo
-
induced hydrophilic coatings and self
-
cleaning devices and solar cell electrodes
was introduced.
