PROCEDURES:
Getting ready
l Put the picture cards on the board. Ask a student to come to the front of the class.
l Whisper one of the words to s1 to act out.
l While s1 is doing the action, say what’s
he/she doing?
l Accept several guesses from Ss.
l S1 reveals the action by pointing to the corresponding card, e.g. painting.
l T: he’s/she’s (painting). Repeat.[Ss: he’s/she’s(painting.)]
l Do the same with other Ss if time permits.
Using the book
l Have Ss point to the first picture. Model the dialog.
l Have Ss point to the second picture. Model the dialog.
l T: let’s listen to the tape.
l Play the tape and pause after each sentence, allowing Ss time to repeat.
