the
circular
waveguide
electromagnetic

distribution,
I
use
MATLAB
to
visual
display
its
electromagnetic field distribution. First , I do a summarize of the development history
and
current
status
of
microwave
technology
,and
sketch
out
the
definition
and
characteristics
of
waveguide
with
some
main
parameters.
At
the
same
time
,
this
article dose some introduction of MATLAB’s main function and its chara
cteristics and
the
role
matlab
plays
in
the
design.
Then
,
based
on
Maxwell’s
equation
,
we
can
derive the wave equation and solve the partial differential
equations . Applying the
boundary conditions ,we can conclude the field expression . Besides , we can study
the general characteristics ofthe rectangular waveguide.Then ,we can use the method
of separation of variables to
solve the Helmholtz equation of cylindrical
coordinate
system,
and
similarly,
get
the
field
expression
and
characteristics
ofthe
circular
waveguide
with
the
help
of
boundary
