本课的内容是人教版七年级下册Unit 5 Why do you like pandas? 本单元的主题是通过谈论动物来熟练运用“why—because”句型提出疑问,解决问题。通过对本单元的学习,学生能够对动物的性格及自己对动物的喜好的原因进行交流表达,并能够熟练运用句型来询问他人的爱好,解释原因。通过对动物的描述,让学生从从潜意识意识到动物的重要性,让学生自觉的爱护动物,保护动物,进而激发学生对大自然的保护意识,有利于帮助学生树立环保意识,增强环保观念,成为符合科学发展观的新一代人才。 二、学生分析
本班学生33人,英语基础略好的仅有8人,整体英语知识薄弱,本册教材是七年级学生使用,教材衔接有问题,学生学习这套教材有一定难度。注意到学生中存在的两极分化,教学内容注意由简到难,循序渐进,在知识的复现中做好及时补差工作。充分培养学生的听说读写能力,尤其要加强识读,拼写的能力。 三、教法分析
本节课的对象是六年级的学生,这阶段的学生比八,九年级学生更活泼,天真,对新事物有很高的激情。所以结合他们的这一特点,我采取了以下方法: 1.直观教学法。
2.课堂互动法。通过师生交流,生生交流,实现师生互动。鼓励学生大胆发言,营造平等交流气氛,让学生成为课堂学习的主体。
3.情景教学法。充分发挥教师的主导作用和学生的主体作用,为学生进行交际和表达创设更多生动活泼的语言环境,把学生吸引到活动中去,并激发他们主动参与学习的欲望 四、学法分析
创设情景,布置猜谜游戏和录像欣赏,激发学生的学习热情,培养他们的表达能力,发挥他们自己的主观能动性,把被动的学习变为主动学习。 五、教学目标
依据初中英语新课标的要求,并根据素质教育中面向全体培养学生素质的要求,我为这一课确立以下三项目标:
(1)、知识目标 帮助学生学会、掌握以相关单词(2)、能力目标让学生学会谈论简单的动物及名称以及说明为什么喜欢动物。
(3)、情感目标 通过对本课的学习,激发学生学习英语的兴趣,并激发学生保护环境的意识。
六、教学过程
Step1 Lead-in brainstorm 头脑风暴,导入新课。
Play a short song for the students. What animals can you remember? The student who can write down animals’names more in 30 seconds.
(点评:让学生听一段有关动物的歌曲,让学生在规定时间能比一比哪一组学生写出了更多动物的英文名称。既调动了学生的积极性又能复习以前学习过的动物名称,同时也为引出本节课的语言目标做好铺垫。)
Step 2 Intuitive teaching, quick response
With the help of an intuitive picture of animals, students can quickly grasp the vocabulary of animals.
(点评:借助直观的动物图片,让学生很快掌握住本节课关于动物的词汇。快速反应环节进一步巩固了自学效果,加深了对单词拼写的记忆。) Step 3 拓展延伸,精讲精练 1. Teach new words with pictures.
2.Present the following sentences with pictures. Why do you/don’t you like …?Because they are …
Step 4 谈论喜好,学以致用。 谈论对本节课的动物的喜好以及原因,强化学生的能力训练。
Step Five Listening and pair work.
Play the recorder and ask students to do activity 1b.And check answers.Show some pictures and a sample dialogue to the students, then ask them to make more conversations and act them out.

B: Why do you want to see them? A: Because they are interesting. (点评:结合书本,听练同步) Step Six Work in groups. Ask and answer

1. Listen and complete 2a. Play the recorder twice, for the first time , students find out the animals they hear. Then they guess the description words and countries. Next, play the recorder for the second time and students to make sure the answers.2. Listen and complete 2b. (点评:综合运用,生生互动,组织学生结对训练,听说结合,培养合作能力。) Step Seven Pair work猜谜游戏,强化记忆。
1.Present a map of the world to teach new words and the new sentence pattern. 2.Show some pictures of animals and have students make conversations with the following sentences:
A: Let’s see…Do you like …? B:Yes, I do./ No, I don’t.… . 3.Ask several pairs to show their conversations.
(点评:通过猜动物的游戏,既调动了学生的积极性,又强化了学生对动物单词的记忆课堂训练,巩固新知,拓展了思维,为写作训练做铺垫。通过对几种动物的描述,让学生搭配动物的名称,巩固本节课的词汇。)
Step Eight Survey and Emotion情感教育,道德培养。 1. Ask students to work in groups and do a survey. 2. Fill in the chart about the survey .
3. Ask students to do a report about their survey results.
Watch a video about a girl that she wants to protect animals. Let students love our earth and animal friends.(点评: 让学生欣赏一段英国达人秀一名七岁小女孩呼吁保护动物的录像,增强学生热爱大自然,保护动物的意识。) Step Nine Homework
1.(必做)Make a list of the animals you know and try to describe each animal with a word we learnt in this class.
2.(选做)Write an article about your favorite animals and describe their appearances,personalities, food, hobbies and where they are from. (点评:设置三种难度的作业,关注每一个学生的学习能度。) 板书设计 综合点评:

本课是利用我校的六部教学法,即激趣导入,定量自学,组内合作,组间竞争,拓展提高,师导生结。能够通过一系列前后关联的活动,环环相扣地推进教学目标,逐步突破本课的教学重难点。
